From January 2025 the GB Driver CPC system is now available in two formats, National DCPC (N-DCPC) and International DCPC (I-DCPC). When completed, the N-DCPC will only enable drivers holding it to undertake journeys within Great Britain, and extending to Northern Ireland. Only the I-DCPC will enable journeys to, from or within the EU, including the Republic of Ireland. The I-DCPC will also continue to be recognised for journeys within the UK as it currently is.
International Driver CPC
International Driver CPC is essentially the direct replacement for the previous scheme which most drivers are familiar with meaning that:
• Drivers need to take 35 hours of International Driver CPC training every 5 years to be allowed to drive in the EU and the UK.
• Courses must be at least 7 hours long
• If a course is split over a day, it must be completed within 2 consecutive days
• A total of 10.5 hours e-learning can be completed to contribute towards the overall 35 hours of training.
National Driver CPC
N-Driver CPC is the UK domestic version of the previous Driver CPC. Drivers only wanting to drive in the UK can complete either:
• Drivers need to complete a total of 35 hours of National Driver CPC training every 5 years. This can include International modules too.
• Each module must be at least 3.5 hours long
• A total of 10.5 hours e-learning can be completed with no classroom course required.
We offer a range of National (N-DCPC), International (I-DCPC) and eLearning modules to enable as much flexibility as possible for your learning journey. All courses are 3.5 hours in duration and any mix of two can be used to create an International module as long as they are completed with the two day time frame.
eLearning
The learner is provided with a three month subscription to complete each module. Upon completion they simply send us a copy of their certificate(s) and the DVSA upload can then be carried out.
