Transport Manager CPC

The Traffic Commissioners require all qualified Transport Managers to ensure that they maintain continuous professional development (CPD). Although there is no set criteria for timescale the expectation would be to attend a two day course at a minimum of 5 yearly intervals. This would be for anyone who works full time in a transport. For anyone who has a CPC and has not acted in a TM role for over 5 years then there is a strong recommendation to attend a two day course prior to commencing work with an Operator, or as soon as possible after joining them. 

Should you find yourself attending  a Public Inquiry at the Traffic Commissioners request it is highly advisable to attend a two day Transport Manager CPC course prior to the Inquiry to show a willingness to learn and to rectify or fill any gaps in your knowledge.

FORS M3 requirements mean that all named Transport Managers must complete relevant training within a 5 year period. Our to day TM refresher course meets this requirement, where our 1 day OLAT course will be accepted for those who are not official CPC holders.
